Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are said to be at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely symbolize the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 gives a total of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be given out depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays 8 to one and on occasion nine to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. Even so odds are exceedingly better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played effectively, baccarat offers relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not a predictor of future outcomes. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-3-two-6 technique. This scheme is employed to amplify earnings and minimizing risk.
start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
