Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are give a value of their printed number meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … five results in a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, each bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out eight to one but occasionally 9 to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are considerably better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future outcomes. Staying abreast of historic conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-six concept. This tactic is used to build up wins and cutting back risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
