Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are said to be at their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 will have a total score of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. be cautious of putting money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are richly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played effectively, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future events. Monitoring of past conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful technique is the one-3-two-six method. This scheme is used to build up successes and cutting back risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
