Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under 10 are worth their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only act as the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven as well as five produces a value of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be dealt depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pays out at 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are radically better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to 1)
When done smartly, baccarat presents generally good odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Monitoring of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 scheme. This process is used to magnify profits and reducing risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth bet.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
