Baccarat Banque Rules

Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are worth their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, although the 1st digit is ignored. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a total of 1 (5 plus 6 equals eleven; dump the first ‘one’).

A third card could be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the player or house achieves a score of 8 or 9, both players stay.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, she hits. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player holds, the bank takes a card on a value lower than 5. If the player takes a card, a table is used to see if the house holds or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The greater of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19:20 (even payout less a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you quit the table so make sure you have cash remaining before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning wagers for tie usually pays 8 to 1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen less than one in every 10 rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

Wagered on correctly baccarat provides fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Method

As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few accepted misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Recording previous results at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most favorable plan is the one, three, two, six tactic. This technique is used to build up winnings and minimizing losses.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add another to the 2 on the game table for a total of three units on the second bet. If you succeed you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you come away with a win on the third wager, put down 2 on the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a hit of one. A profit on the initial wager followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Success on the first 2 with a defeat on the third gives you with a gain of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four wagers leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd bet five instances for every favorable streak of 4 rounds and still balance the books.
