Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the total of the two cards, however the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of 1 (5 plus six equals eleven; ditch the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker achieves a score of 8 or 9, the two players hold.

- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player stands, the banker hits on five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to see if the bank stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even payout less a five percent commission. The Rake is recorded and paid off when you depart the game so make sure you have funds left over just before you head out). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning bets for tie frequently pays out at eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a awful bet as a tie occurs less than one in every ten rounds. Be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)

Gambled on correctly punto banco gives relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Scheme

As with all games punto banco has some general misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of events about to happen. Recording previous results at a table is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.

The most common and almost certainly the most successful plan is the one, three, two, six plan. This plan is deployed to pump up profits and limit losses.

Start by betting 1 unit. If you succeed, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will retain six on the table, pull off four so you keep two on the third round. If you come away with a win on the third bet, deposit two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth round.

Should you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial bet followed by a hit on the second causes a hit of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning at all four wagers gives you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the second bet 5 instances for each successful streak of 4 rounds and still experience no loss.
