Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat is bet on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are worth face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the 1st number is dropped. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus six = 11; drop the 1st ‘1′).

A third card could be given out using the following rules:

- If the player or house gets a total of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. Players stands otherwise.

- If the player stays, the bank takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to figure out if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The higher of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the house pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you quit the table so make sure you still have cash remaining before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pays one to one. Winning wagers for tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a awful wager as ties happen less than one in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for nine to one vs. 8:1)

Gambled on correctly punto banco offers relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Method

As with all games Baccarat has a few established misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events yet to happen. Recording past results on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably the most accomplished plan is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This tactic is employed to build up profits and limit risk.

Start by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will now have six on the game table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you succeed on the third round, put down two on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you do not win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial round followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Success on the 1st two with a loss on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th means you break even. Succeeding at all four wagers gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can squander the second wager five times for each successful run of 4 rounds and still balance the books.
