Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under 10 are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 and five will have a value of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, both players stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pay eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are actually better – nine to one versus eight to one)
When played effectively, baccarat offers pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not a predictor of future results. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-3-two-six technique. This method is used to increase wins and reducing risk.
commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
