Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the cards, but the first digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus six equals 11; drop the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a total of eight or 9, the two players hold.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he takes a card. Players holds otherwise.

- If the player holds, the bank takes a card on five or less. If the gambler hits, a guide is employed to decide if the bank stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The greater of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19:20 (equal money less a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you depart the table so make sure you still have funds remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning wagers for tie normally pays out at 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties happen lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for nine to one vs. eight to one)

Gambled on correctly baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has a few common false impressions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future outcomes. Recording previous results on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.

The most common and almost certainly the most successful plan is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This method is deployed to pump up earnings and limit losses.

Begin by placing 1 chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. If you succeed you will have 6 on the game table, remove four so you keep 2 on the third wager. If you succeed on the third wager, put down two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth round.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the initial round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a take of 2. And success on the 1st 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four wagers gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you are able to lose the 2nd bet 5 times for each favorable streak of 4 bets and in the end, experience no loss.
