Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … five will have a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be played depending on the foll. practices:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or nine, both players stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays out at 8 to one and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties occur less than one every ten hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are emphatically better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Played accurately, baccarat presents generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an actual indicator of future actions. Tracking of old conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most common and possibly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six concept. This plan is used to increase payouts and controlling risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
